The series ends with all the immune people making it to paradise to start a new civilization, but ultimately, the finale feels like a wash.

The Death Cureis the final book in The Maze Runner series and the movie is full of lots of bad action scenes, convoluted government conspiracies, medical operations, and one genuinely emotional death. It’s hard to write a satisfying conclusion to a franchise that has gained popularity, and it's hard to wrap up such convoluted storylines trapped by a need to feel mysterious and secretive to keep audiences engaged. People get tired and lose interest, and typically, all the best content has already been used in the first or second books and films. The Divergent series takes place in a dystopian Chicago and follows Beatrice “Tris” Prior (Shailene Woodley) as the main protagonist.
The third film in the Divergent series by Veronica Roth, Allegiant was famously so bad that the fourth and final film Ascendant was canceled after this one came out.
